I was supposed to post this yesterday BUT I was too busy reading Mockingjay and doing nothing else. Oh my god so much reading. I reread the first two books before, so that's 400 pages a day for 3 days straight.

Thanks to kcanadensis  who taught me how to make straight lines in photoshop by holding the shift key! who knew i was so stupid? :D

There's not one line in this comic that isn't verbatim. All of these comics are pretty much word for word what happened.

I've finished the next three comics so they will be posted every other day till I run out. Yeaaaay!

I've been so busy lately with cleaning the house out, a huge garage sale and my family coming by. The next five comics are already sketched out so I hope to get updating more regularly D:

Also, I discovered that putting a piece of paper between me and the tablet helped me a lot while working. THE MORE YOU KNOW.

I took out the title because I really don't like it and I don't necessarily think these comics need a title?

Ugh this WEEK. I can't wait until the attic is clean so I can go into the raccoon room without barfing.  This LA heatwave isn't doing the room any good either. Anyway, I tried to clean up the writing a little bit in this one, hopefully it's better.  Also, I hope to get the next couple of comics done so it's more up to date, as this stuff all happened a few weeks ago (sorry to ruin the magic for you, guys)

I'm going to try to draw comics just about daily life so I can get back into drawing and in shape for the webcomic that I'm working on with psychobiddy .  I don't want to spend a ton of time on them so they're going to be kinda scribbly. lalala

My fight scenes are pretty trippy. also, my death scene is REALLY CHEERY D: and ANY deathcab song is appropriate for a break up (WHUTEVER. GIBBARD). Also that Poe song hella annoys me as it's on this FoodNetwork commercial all the time. I had NO IDEA it was on my computer.

If you didn't notice, this is why I don't usually listen to my shuffle. It's FAR too eclectic.

I've been working on that list forever, because I kept accidentally navigating away and having to rewrite it. SO YOU BETTER TRY TO GUESS SOME. My I don't think a lot of the music on there is very popular. inquisitory  and kcanadensis  might have a good chance, maybe not. XD there's some curveballs too. (especially # 6 oh the lols) I had to skip a lot of foreign and music that no one would be able to guess, I should have skipped 25 but I like it too much, haha.

So I hope to make a real LJ post later tonight. I've been missing you LJ! I'm sorry I haven't been around much.

So basically it's two little amigurumi dolls doing covers of the 1960's band "The Ventures" with added Japanese lyrics and clearly the most adorable crocheted doll stop motion animation I've ever seen. It is worth watching. Also I know what cd David can buy me for Christmas, haha.

So one of my favorite movies is currently on the "watch instantly" function on Netflix. So if you all have net flix plz watch this movie, it will blow your mind.

If you could lead me to any other movie that is basically about two men trying to kill each other over a bad day yet ends with a jazzy music video lead me to it, but I swear it doesn't exist.  This movie gives me a stomach ache, but I still really love it. I guess you could call it kind of like a suspense movie, It's not a genre that I usually watch.  I actually stumbled across this movie when I went to NAZ 8 a movie theater chain featuring only movies from India. I took the bart down there, by myself, and just watched it. I don't ever go to movies by myself anymore (too lonely!) but it was definently an interesting experience.   The music for the movie is kind of amazing, and Caroline agrees with me xD

Really, everyone needs more bollywood movies in their diet, all the movies I've seen from India have been beatiful and interesting, even if they're the equlivant to mainstream run of movies in the US that I generally avoid.

Steph is re-working her old webcomic, and all of her new concept art is really awesome! I met Steph through her comic back in 2001(?) I used to draw her fan art back then so it's only appropriate to draw her fan art now? :3


I don't know if Min would actually ride Mint (sorry steph, I keep using their old names) but Mint is so taaaaallllll XD


A staring contest between Mint and a Manticore? Or maybe the manticore is hitting on him. Min has no idea. I like the Manticore's 1960's anime hair.


:P I was trying to ink and color that other Uwagi/Capotto gardening picture, but I'm a litle dizzy today and having a hard time inking.

The astroboy scan came out super weird. D:  The other doodle is of me being fat. And holding one of the enemies from the Klonoa game. We are fat together, yeay!

I saw this commercial while watching the daily show on hulu. When I saw it I pretty much squee-d. Apart from it being adorable, I love the use of texture and transparency in the characters and backgrounds. I generally don't like flat computer animation because a lot of it just screams  "LOOKIT ME! I'M MADE ON FLASH" (ala aqua teen hunger force) but I feel like the animator did a good job of making the most of flash animation, and not just making everything look like it's sliding around the screen.

I FINISHED MY FELT CAKE! I really should be driving to the party now, but I wanted to share them with you all first!

So, if you don't already know, I have been sewing felt cake all weekend. My friend Kimi is having a dessert-potluck party/ house warming (not because she moved, but because her awful roommate moved) party next Saturday. Last time I hung out with Kimi we went to ranch 99 and she saw some stuffed cake and was impressed, so I thought I would make her some cakey little stuffies.  (wtf did i just say?) Mostly inspired from BitterSweet's blog post about her felt cakes, I have been having more fun than I thought I would.  Originally I was going to make Kimi one slice of cake, but now I have five pieces planned.



Unlike Hannah, I made my slices 1/6th of a circle instead of 1/8th. So they're much pudgier. I really should have started over and made them into 8ths, but I was already on a roll. Oh well. I am going to make toppings for them later. I am still trying to figure out how to make felt whipped cream D:  I did practice making a little strawberry though!  Once I finish i'll try to post about them again.  I really wanted to make a carrot cake one, but I don't have any felt which would be a good color for it ;_; The green one is supposed to be Matcha by the way. 

So I'm hoping to find a little pink cake box that I could put these guys in so when I take them to the party Kimi will actually think I brought a cake.  I already feel totally guilty, because I called her yesterday asking what her favorite kind of cake was and by the time I hung up it sounded like she was really excited about the cake i was going to bake!  D: I still need to think of what I'm going to actually cook for the party. Hahaha.
